Summit Stage, serving Summit, Park and Lake counties, will build a new charging and operation bus facility, which will include 100% electrification, fleet storage, and electric vehicle charging. The new facility will replace Summit Stage's current aging facility. The Summit Stage provides bus service throughout Summit County and connects to Park and Lake counties, providing critical workforce transportation options. The service areas include several disproportionately impacted communities including 10 mobile home parks and several communities that are linguistically isolated, low-income, and/or housing burdened. Summit County anticipates increased bus service to areas such as Smith Ranch Workforce Housing, Kingdom Park Trailer Park and Eagles Nest Apartments as a long-term benefit of this facility replacement and electrification project.
