These funds are intended to strengthen and modernize the electric grid against wildfires, extreme weather, and other natural disasters that are exacerbated by the climate crisis. Funds support grant programs for microgrids for community resilience, grid hardening for small communities and advanced grid monitoring. At least 40% of funds will be invested in projects in disproportionately impacted communities.
