Eagle County Regional Transportation Authority (ECO Transit) will renovate its vehicle storage facility, removing its gas-based heating source and implementing a geothermal heating system. This project will allow ECO Transit to transition to an emissions-free heating source, eliminating greenhouse gas emissions, reducing heating costs and increasing the reliability of its vehicles. ECO Transit service area includes numerous disproportionately impacted communities including 16 mobile home communities, several communities that are linguistically isolated and/or housing cost burdened.
